The design idea of the Horizon watch series comes from the aviation ruler or slide ruler, the bidirectional rotatable bezel can be used to calculate distance and estimate fuel consumption for pilots. The streamlined "seagull wing" shaped case lugs draws design inspiration from the Sea-Gull watch logo. The aircraft shaped index at 12 o'clock gallops through the clouds, while the aircraft on the seconds hand flies above the dial when the time is running.
